The attractions of Keswick on Derwentwater

Farmers Market in Keswick

Keswick lies on the north shore of Derwentwater, a delightful lake surrounded by mountains and fells. This is truly the heart of the Lake District National Park.

Keswick is the ideal location for a Lakeland holiday whatever your interests or pursuits. Some of the best walking and cycling routes in England are close by.

From the lakeshore you can catch a launch which will take you round the lake and drop you off at any of the six landing stages from where you can walk the fells and take in the breathtaking views. Other activities available locally include sailing, windsurfing, horse riding, rock climbing, golf, and many, many more.
